Who is the "it Girl"?

She is defined as a confident woman who knows who she wants to be. In my experience, every “it girl” on television or in real life has a few key qualities that make her known and unique. Here are the 5 ways you can become the “it Girl” and start living with main character energy in your own story.

#1: Choose Your Signature scent

A signature scent is something the “it girl” has mastered. She pairs similar notes in perfumes, such as vanilla and cherry. She does switch her perfumes from time to time, to not be too predictable.

Why is a signature scent the #1 thing that comes to my mind when I’m defining what “that girl” is? Its simple. I want my lover or whoever else there is in my life that I want to impress to recognize my scent. We remember what our favorite flower, desert, air freshener etc. smelled like

Here are the 3 things to have to obtain your signature scent:

  • A body scrub or body wash. (bonus points for both!)

Get a body scrub that makes YOU feel like a million bucks. 2024 is not the year where we care about how others perceive us, Do what makes you happy, I’m just here to give tips on your journey to be “HER”

  • A similar or complimenting perfume:

Why do I say “Complimenting”? Look, some scents aren’t available in a lotion, body wash and others all under the same umbrella brand..(in the scent of your choosing)… And that’s okay, I guess. But that won’t stop us, improvise. It’s better this way anyways.

  • Finally a candle.

I know what you’re thinking. “A CaNdLe?!?!?!” You read me (SEE WHAT I DID THERE)

Moving on, candles light up your room, life and get that lovely scent you want to channel into your being plastered to every single article of clothing and/or accessory you have. (just make sure to practice candle safety. Only you……. can  prevent……. closet fires???????? Safety first people………. Safety first.

#2: CREATE A SLEEP HYGIENE ROUTINE

The perfect bad B has her/their own sleepy eepy routine. Take your sleep SERIOUSLY!

Put THAT phone down. Read a book, take a bath, do yoga… anything other than doom scroll!

Be off that hand held void device for a minimum of 30 minutes before snoozing

#3: SKIN CARE:

Glass face routine, slugging, mud mask; doesn’t matter; but do something. I wash my face every morning and night. I moisturize with a retinol cream (Yeesh! It was a gift, and I’m 25, gotta start sometime……. I guess). The reason I say to do this is to create consistency. When life gets hard and you have to pull yourself up, the habits you have set into place, will keep you sane. Or at least it helped me.

4: Love yourself!

Act like it and mean it! I’ll preach it for my remaining days. YOU are the best person to have in your corner. You know your intentions.

Take yourself on a date, buy yourself some flowers, listen to your favorite song on repeat until you are sick of it (Only me? oOOooPpsie daisy)

Be mindful of how you talk to yourself. Treat yourself with kindness. Water yourself first, then others. I can go on.

BE AGGRESSIVE WITH YOUR SELF CARE, in a loving way of course. All jokes aside, I believe that one of the most important relationships you will ever have is with yourself.

Maybe it is a weird or seemingly selfish presenting sentiment to some folks but I think I’m work getting to know myself, and I feel each and every person should too.

5th and FINAL tip;

Decorate the way you want to. I have an assortment of granny style throws I thrifted, a velvet yellow wingback chair and two lamps that I thrifted (both have smart bulbs, I have a whole set up, I think its so cool being able to control my bedroom lights with my phone. I’m like a kid in a candy store)

The way that I created a room that I loved is I created boards on Pinterest of vintage items I loved and I thrifted them. (Ya girl is on a budget). My point is, I midfully set out to make my room feel comfortable for me.

WRAP UP

If you put up with me for this long in my post, I’d like to congratulate you (APPLAUSE). But seriously, becoming an “it girl” means learning to be yourself in the boldest don’t give an F way that makes any bystander think “Wow, they don’t care what others think!”

My life is for me to dictate, not for others to.
